So they say “when life throws you lemons, make lemonade”.

The question of the day is: What happens when life is throwing lemons at you so fast that you can’t stop to to make lemonade?

Traveling and such…

It’s really quite a paradox – traveling and enjoying yourself, that is.

Think about it: You need money to travel and live the good life… you need to work hard to earn good money… 4 times out of 5, working hard means working alot… this all sums up to not having the time to travel and live the good life…

So what do you do? I’m all about the little mini vacations – vegas this weekend, san fran next month… and then of course saving up your vacation time at work to take a long holiday during the slow times… maybe even a few extra unpaid days to get more bang for your buck!

After spending the day catching up on some much needed rest in my blanket, I came to a few conclusions about life in general:

1. We overwork ourselves a bit too often, and give ourselves rest less than we should

2. We take the littlest things for granted instead of realizing that it was someone’s effort that made something possible

3. We take take our youth for granted, thinking that we’ll always have this amount of energy – THUS procrastinating things in life that shouldn’t be

4. We forget that reading is what keeps our minds fresh and sharp

5. We forget that we are the only ones responsible for our own happiness

Just some things to think about… Oh life…

The first post on anything always feels strange… as you think to yourself, “what exactly am I doing?”

Well… I don’t know what I’m doing right now – but I thought this was a good place to start. Maybe I can tell you a little bit about myself… Hmmmm…

I’m happiest when I’m practicing yoga or when I have nothing but a good book in my hand, along with a cup of tea (and some biscuits might be nice!). I live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, despite the amount of rain we get (but perhaps, that is why the city is so green…).
